March 2009

After a fantastic Christmas in England January went very slowly and then February rushed by!  Now we're at the beginning of March and there is still snow on the ground but we're hoping that spring will come soon!  We are looking forward to spending some time out in the garden and in the park.  Jessica had her first swing last weekend and loved it!

We have had a very busy time since we last wrote but things are a lot quieter now and after having changed the clocks last weekend and having our first snow this week it really feels like winter is on it's way :o(  We have been busy this weekend transplanting shrubs, planting bulbs and putting the garden to bed for the winter.

Christmas Markets

Some information about German Christmas markets.  We're looking forward to taking Jessica to her first one.

Jessica is now ten weeks old and our lives since we last wrote have been dominated by getting to know her. She was very unsettled at first and had lots of problems with colic but with help from the midwife we have found a medicine that helps and she is so much happier now. She has changed completely and has the most amazing smile. She has always been fairly good at night and after a feed goes straight back to sleep with no problems. She is now establishing a daytime routine and goes back to bed during the day with no problem. She weighs 5100 g / 11.24 lbs and is eating well.

Photos from 2003

I finally managed to publish the photos from Jo and Lawrie's as well as Jenny and Andy's wedding in 2003. This completes the photos from 2003.

Photos from 2002

Some photos from 2002 are now on site. This includes some from the day trip to Isle of Wight that Catherine and I had shortly after we met for the first time! We now have about 2500 photos on the site.

The Hancock Girls

Once Uncle Irfan left it was just Dad and all the women So we asked him to take a photo of us - the five girls in the "Hancock clan". Obviously I am the youngest member.

I am looking forward to meet the family again. That will be in England and will be my first flight!

Uncle Irfan

Uncle Irfan stayed only for the weekend. At least I had some cuddles with him. The whole family went out to the "Alte Bahnhof" restaurant in Holzgerlingen for Dad's birthday on Saturday and we had a nice BBQ on Sunday. And then Uncle Irfan already had to go again.

So I have already met all the direct family except for Uncle Andrew. When will I see him?
