Hello!

This is the last news page from Catherine and Michael before Little Friess arrives :o)

Michael has been working very hard lately as he has had several big deadlines at work. Catherine finished work just before Easter.

Life has been quite quiet lately. Donna invited us over for a meal and served lots of different Italian antipasto, apparently very easy to make and absolutely delicious :o) We also had a meal out with Ulrike and Tobi, friends who are expecting a baby a month after us. In the middle of March we did Sunday brunch for eight of our friends. We had a full continental breakfast with lots of chocolate as it was nearly Easter and we spent several hours at the breakfast table :o)

At Easter we planned to drive to Kehl, Michael's home town, so that Michael could sort out some repairs on his house and we could spend some time with friends then go on to a hotel for a few days for the last time as a couple but our plans were thwarted! At a routine doctor's appointment the doctor was concerned about Little Friess making an early appearance so sent Catherine to hospital for some bedrest (not easy when you are feeling perfectly well!). After nine days of very strict bedrest she was sent home with instructions to keep her feet up for the rest of the pregnancy hence the quiet life :o) Several friends have been over to visit for coffee, breakfast and lunch and we had a games evening with Christy and Paul, all of which has been much appreciated. Little Friess' room is now ready and we have got almost everything that we need, the Internet has been brilliant for shopping! The hospital bags are packed and we only have two more birth classes.

Michael had a short trip to Kehl and enjoyed the drive in the new car. He also spent Easter Monday with Thomas, Jutta, Hanna and Daniel. Daniel will be starting kindergarten soon, he is four at the beginning of May.

Wendy, Nicky and Laila came to visit for a few days last week and it was lovely to spend time with them. They both came over with very full suitcases, mostly things for Little Friess! They helped with the gardening and did some sewing and cooking. Although the weather wasn't particularly good Nicky and Laila spent quite a bit of time in the park. Laila is very good and is starting to talk. She is very active, enjoys playing football and being outside. They all plan to come back and visit in June once Litttle Friess has arrived.

We hope that you are all happy and healthy and look forward to seeing you soon!
